Create an equipment elevation
Begin with the exact wall or counter dimensions. Add fixed elements—sockets, shelves, grinders, menu boards and doors—before placing silos. The remaining area is the real design envelope.
Calculate the total bank width
Multiply the product width by the required quantity, then add intentional spacing between units and clearance at both ends. A visually balanced system needs more than a simple product-width calculation.
Design around the operator
Dispensing controls, scoops and refill openings must sit within a comfortable working range. Test the display against the actual barista or retail workflow instead of treating it as a decorative wall.
Plan labels as an information system
Coffee name, origin, processing method, roast profile and tasting notes should be readable without competing with the hardware. Keep the label hierarchy consistent across the complete assortment.
Check model-specific dimensions
The shelf models are approximately 190 mm wide and 260 mm deep. Their heights differ: 400 mm for the compact dispenser and 550 mm for the scoop-return model. The wall-mounted cylindrical model is approximately 150 mm in diameter and 710 mm high. Use those dimensions as product bodies, then add working clearances.
Use spacing deliberately
Spacing affects both appearance and usability. Units placed too closely can make cleaning and product identification difficult. Excessive spacing weakens the visual relationship between silos and consumes valuable wall or counter width.
Test the layout at eye and hand level
A drawing may fit mathematically while remaining uncomfortable in use. Review the final position from the customer's sightline and from the operator's working position. Confirm that the refill point and dispensing area remain reachable.
Apply the dimensional method
For a first layout, each 190 mm shelf unit is allocated a rounded 20 cm position. The wall-mounted unit uses 20 cm for a different reason: the cylindrical body is 15 cm wide and the plan adds a minimum 5 cm interval. An 80 cm wall therefore fits four wall units, while a 100 cm shelf fits five shelf units.
Issue a coordinated project drawing
Before purchase, place the final silo bank on the same elevation as shelves, lighting, power outlets, menu boards and adjacent equipment. Show the product body, working clearances and the exact wall or counter reference. This gives the purchasing, design and installation teams one drawing to review.
